Founded in London in 1995 by Peter Thomas and Catherine du Toit, 51 Architecture is an AIA & RIBA award winning practice. The studio specialises in holistic architecture where the individual client is as important as the neighbourhood and the environment of the project.
51’s design ethos is to unlock the true potential of the existing space, light and materials to create a synthetic whole. Rigorous planning ensures the best proportions and uses of space, views are carefully framed to draw in light but avoid overlook, and materials and details work hard to create a sustainable whole.
