John Smart Architects seeks to progress the relationship between the craft of building and the art of design. The practice seeks to balances the roles of architect and developer, and has its own craft-focused, in-house construction team.
The practice’s first major project, DKH, received the RIBA award for London’s best new housing which supported and illuminated the possible achievements of this emerging practice.
