The Brion-Vega Cemetery is a geometrical complex of concrete buildings developed over a ten-year period by the visionary architect Carlo Scarpa. The walls of the structure were designed to be no higher than the surrounding plants, which helps it to merge into the landscape. Scarpa himself is buried in a corner of the cemetery, standing up and wrapped in sheets in the style of a medieval knight.
