House of the day: Family house extension by Franz Architekten

This extension by Austrian studio Franz Architekten is in Wienerwald, in the suburbs of Vienna. Built to make room for extra family members the annexe is clad in diagonal strips of grey larch, to contrast with the white rendered facade of the existing house. Images: Kurt Kuball
