Built in Slovenia in 2008, House R is based on the traditional residential architecture of the Alpine region.
However, used as a holiday home rather than a permanent residence, it is also designed to be entirely closed up when uninhabited – merging the traditional idea of the house with that of a ‘container’ for living.
