House of the Day: Passive House by Malboeuf Bowie Architecture

This article is more than a year old and may contain information that is out of date. Sorry about that.

This property, designed and built in Seattle, is run by a Kirio system which monitors and automates the house’s energy usage, including the ventilation, lighting and heating.

The distinctive herringbone design of the exterior is mirrored in details throughout the property, notably in the staircase railings.
