Serge Chermayeff designed his studio vacation home in 1954 in Cape Cod – at the time a relatively secluded location adored by his Bauhaus contemporaries, including Walter Gropius and Marcel Breuer. Cape Cod become a hub for experimental modern design, hidden within wild natural surroundings.
