Renowned Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen built Siesby House in 1959, on a steep hillside in rural Copenhagen. The main living space – built in wood and glass – is poised atop brick foundation walls. This cantilever design is characteristic of Jacobsen’s Functionalist structures, which are recognised for their sense of proportion and space.
