The three Tea Houses were constructed in 2009 to provide unique additional spaces for the main property, located at the base of the remote Silicon Valley hillside. Each house was designed as a transparent glass pavilion, seemingly hovering about the ground.
Each of the three spaces was created with a specific function in mind – one as a ‘meditation house’ for individual contemplation, another as a ‘sleeping house’ for overnight stays. The largest space was designed as a ‘visioning house’ for creative thinking and small gatherings.
