House of the Day: The Corten House by DMOA architecten

The exterior of this three-storey family home in Antwerp is clad in weathered steel panels. The panels are constructed from perforated metal sheets with thin, solid sections jutting out per perpendicularly from them. This system allows light into the house, whilst affording the space privacy from the adjoining road.
