This distinctive house was built within a traditional residential area of Tokyo.
Built on a typically small site, the living areas are designed to maximise the limited spaces both inside and outside the property. Private rooms are placed on diagonals with common areas created between them, whilst the remainder of the site is given over to semi-indoor residential areas. These areas have vast glazed walls and the loose stone floor runs uninterrupted from the inside to the outside of the house.
