This article is more than a year old and may contain information that is out of date. Sorry about that.
Renovated in 2008 by acclaimed Mexican architect Diego Villaseñor, Casa La Ceiba is a dramatic yet private and tranquil holiday property sitting 50m atop a seaside cliff over the Pacific Ocean.
Originally built in 1983, the villa is organised around two open communal spaces providing luxurious modern accommodation for a large number of people. There are six bedrooms and one studio. La Ceiba can host up to 22 guests, with 18 in beds and an additional four in sofa beds.
Externally, Casa La Ceiba has three outdoor living areas, two rooftop terraces with 360-degree views, an infinity swimming pool, a tennis court, and a separate yoga studio.
The aesthetic throughout is minimal, and the white interiors sit well next to the earthy tones of the exterior spaces. The view of the Pacific Ocean and the horizon is best seen from the infinity pool.
