Sleeps: 2 (+ 2 in the sofa bed of the living room)
Built in around 1900, this small but perfectly formed Sicilian apartment was refurbished by Italian architect Francesco Moncada in 2009 and offers a stylish and comfortable city retreat.
Situated on the small island of Ortigia, the property is in the heart of the historic centre, an area full of old-world charm and natural beauty.
Despite the conservative legal restrictions concerning the refurbishment in the historical centre protected by UNESCO, the architect has succeeded in giving modernist character throughout the apartment.
Split over three levels, the flat is spacious and light. There is a concrete living-room floor and an orange rubber kitchen floor. On the top floor, there is a 30 sq m terrace with a wooden deck and a canopy, where guests can enjoy meals with stunning views.
