‘Mid-Century Modern Complete’, edited by Dominic Bradbury and published by Thames & Hudson, is the ultimate survey of mid-century modern design. It highlights nearly 100 major and influential creators of the mid-century period, including architects, designers and makers. Specially commissioned photographs by Richard Powers capture spectacular homes in Brazil, America, Scandinavia and Germany, from Lina Bo Bardi’s Glass House in Sao Paulo (1951) to Richard Neutra’s Kaufmann House in Palm Springs (1947). The book includes an extensive essay entitled ‘Collecting the Mid-Century House’ by Matt Gibberd, Managing Director at The Modern House, which details the landmark auctions and sales of some of the era’s most iconic houses.
