On the 13 December Docomomo UK will host a talk on The Narkomfin Complex, an icon of Constructivist architecture completed by Moisey Ginzburg in Moscow in 1930.
Alexey Ginzburg, grandson of Moisey, will explore the initiation of the Constructivist movement in Russia in relation to the Narkomfin Complex which, he will argue, represents a new approach to modern living. He will also discuss the Ginzburg family’s attempts over the last three decades to save the complex, and the current restoration project begun earlier this year.
