This half day conference at New London Architecture will be examining how successfully London is meeting its targets to retrofit its existing housing stock in order to meet its sustainability targets. The city has been tasked with reducing its carbon emissions by 60 per cent by 2025 and this requires a significant contribution from its existing housing stock, which currently contributes to 36 per cent of the region’s carbon emissions alone.
The conference will present a selection of best practice case studies and innovative models currently being instigated both by the private and public sectors, an update on regional and local planning policies for housing retrofit and examine progress with the practical application of the Green Deal.
