I have selected this week’s House of the Day entries for the Journal. Being a native Swede, and part Norwegian, I naturally made my selection from Scandinavia.
I came to London to study Art History, and have always had a great interest for art, design and architecture. In Sweden I grew up surrounded by mid-century furniture and modern architecture, and this is something I will never grow away from. I am proud to have introduced the word “Funkis” to my colleagues at The Modern House, which is a widely used term in Sweden for Functionalist houses; we have a lot of them.
I joined The Modern House in 2014, having previously worked at the furniture retailer Skandium.
