This article is more than a year old and may contain information that is out of date. Sorry about that.
Just after Christmas I spent five days in Paris visiting friends who have recently moved there.
Both of them live in the 10th arrondissement and though the area is beautiful, there was little in the way of 20th century architecture.
On our final day of the trip, one friend took us all to the flea market in St Ouen, and as we arrived she suggested that we meet in an hour at the ‘weird bronze spaceship house’ near the entrance’.
Could it be…a Futuro House? Something I’ve so far only had the chance to see peaking over the rooftops at Kings Cross.
It was!
One of only about 60 left in the world, La maison Futuro appears to have ‘landed’ in the market in 2012, and though it was closed during my visit, I could see through the windows that it has been beautifully kitted out with groovy furniture.
