The winner of The Architectural Review’s 2014 Emerging Architecture Award, announced last night, is Shingo Masuda + Katsuhisa Otsubo Architects, for its project Boundary Window. The runners up this year are: CC Arquitectos/ Manuel Cervantes Cespedes, for Equestrian Project; Chrofi, for Lune de Sang Sheds, and Atelier Deshaus, for Long Museum West Band. The awards are designed to give wider recognition to emerging practices around the world. Previous winners have included Sou Fujimoto (Japan), Thomas Heatherwick (UK), Sean Godsell (Australia), Jurgen Mayer H. (Germany) and Li Xiaodong (China).
