Frank Lloyd Wright’s original design for the house

Prairie House by Frank Lloyd Wright
Planning permission is being sought for a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed house to be built at a site near Bristol.
The designs were originally made in 1947 by the renowned 20th-century American architect for a house on a plot in Santa Barbara, California. They have been bought in line with contemporary building regulations by Bath-based architect, Stephen Brooks, with permission from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, which protects the architect’s trademark.
The proposals are for a low-hung, steel-framed, eco-friendly house, overlooking a fishing lake. The commissioner of the project, Dr Hugh Pratt, local parish councillor and Frank Lloyd Wright enthusiast, proposes that the house will be open to the public on completion.
