One of ‘the most important houses in all of LA’ is to be donated to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
The Sheats-Goldstein House was originally built in the 1960s for Helen and Paul Sheats, to designs by John Lautner.
Jim Goldstein, a developer and NBA superfan bought the house in the 1970s and undertook a large program of works in partnership with Lautner, with the intention of making the house ‘perfect’.
The house sits just above Beverly Hills and is well known for its appearance in The Big Lebowski.
