What We're Hearing: Yinka Shonibare and David Adjaye in conversation

Acclaimed international architect David Adjaye and artist Yinka Shonibare discussed how architecture can shape the world for the greater public good on a BBC Radio 4 panel earlier today.

Amongst other things, Adjaye reflects on the recent creation of a building – the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington DC – which had to act as both a monument and a museum, and discusses the important role water played in his thinking, partly influenced by the words of Martin Luther King.
