This year is the 50th anniversary of the London Government Act, which came into effect in April 1965.
Under the act, 12 boroughs were designated as inner London, and 20 as outer London.
To mark the anniversary London Councils have created several galleries of images from the last five decades, including one devoted to Housing Planning and Regeneration.
