Tom Blachford’s stunning long-exposure shots show the famous modernist houses of Palm Springs in a totally new light. The Australian photographer first visited the area in 2013 and was struck by the beauty of the much-photographed and filmed houses. Blachford was keen to photograph them himself, but found it difficult to get an original angle. One evening, under a full moon, he took a handful of shots. The results excited Blachford and caught the imagination of some of the owners, who promptly invited him back to photograph their houses more thoroughly.
