Having won the commission to restore Preston’s Brutalist bus station, John Puttick Associates will host a small exhibition this November, in conjunction with engineers Skelly & Couch, to showcase the project.
The Grade II-listed bus station was built between 1968-69 to a design by the Building Design Partnership, under the instruction of structural engineers Ove Arup and Partners, and has become an architectural icon in the city. The exhibition, which will showcase both the restoration of the station and the plans for the adjacent Youth Zone building, will also reveal Gareth Gardner’s recent photographs of the structure for the first time.
The exhibition will be held at Skelly & Couch, London, and can be viewed by appointment on the 10-11 November.
