An exhibition at Annely Juda Fine Art, London, will showcase works from the collection of former art critic and collector Jos Knaepen (1933-2014) until 23 December.
Knaepen was an avid collector, developing strong friendships with artists and dealers alike. She had a particular interest in the artists who led the way to abstract art in the 20th century, acquiring some 56 works during her lifetime, many of which were displayed in her own home.
Included in the exhibition will be works by Sam Francis, Robert Motherwell, Ben Nicholson and David Nash, amongst others, offering both a survey of 20th-century abstract art and of the process of developing and displaying a personal collection.
