Penarth Centre

Configured across two floors of the Penarth Centre in South Bermondsey is this unique four-bedroom home, designed by Ivo Carew Architects. The minimalist aesthetic draws on Carew's work and training with John Pawson and Sou Fujimoto, culminating in a set of flowing, pared-back interiors which celebrate the simplicity of their materials. The plan, which extends over 2,500 sq ft, is complemented by a large studio space on the first floor, which is currently home to Carew's practice. The Penarth Centre is a wonderful postmodern warehouse unit, positioned between Bermondsey, Camberwell and Peckham in south east London and home to a strong artistic community.
