"Contemporary rural living with a strong identity and sense of place"
This plot occupies a rare grass and wooded site on the southern fringe of Exton, a rural hamlet in Rutland. Designed by award-winning practice Jonathan Hendry Architects, the scheme represents an opportunity to build a unique, contemporary and expansive house with sustainability at its core. A strong identity and sense of place will result from using local materials – limestone, oak, Collyweston slate - and layered sculptural forms echoing the historic dovecotes dotted across the country. Configured across three storeys, the living accommodation will unfurl into around 3.65 acres of biodiverse gardens by landscape architect Marcus Barnet Studio.
