Tinkers Barn
Diss, Norfolk
“Classic gabled silhouettes and simple crisp forms embody its vernacular origins”
This versatile RIBA award-winning barn conversion sits in a peaceful and secluded spot at the end of a tree-lined lane near Bressingham, close to the Norfolk-Suffolk border. It was completed in 2018 to a design by architect Andrew Hughes that prioritises light, space and volume. Around an acre of beautifully landscaped gardens, based on a design by Colm Joseph, wrap the house and provide a bucolic backdrop. Diss station lies around five miles south of this house and runs services to Liverpool Street in a little over 90 minutes.
