Oakland House by Kanner Architects is in Oakland, California. Located on a down-sloping site above the San Francisco Bay, the house has expanses of floor-to-ceiling glass to capture the full vistas of the bay. Concrete floors, steel and glass window systems, and a white cabinetry and furnishings give a minimalist aesthetic, whilst the minutely detailed plaster façade gives the illusion of a shimmering metal finish.
