A House For All Seasons by John Lin, in Shijia Village, Shaanxi Province, China, was completed in 2012. Built with the support of The University of Hong Kong, the project is a contemporary prototype based on the vernacular of local village houses. It features a concrete frame to increase earthquake-resistance and a latticed brick exterior for shade and natural ventilation. Photography: Rufwork
