Forest Retreat by Uhlik Architekti in the Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic, was completed in 2013. The compact structure, which rests on a boulder, was constructed by local craftsman, including a blacksmith from the local village who prepared the steel components. The house has a wooden base, and is covered with charred boards with rabbet joints. Photography: Jan Kudej
