The cave formations at the foothills of Sierra Morena in Córdoba, Spain, were traditionally used for farming and livestock. More recently they have been re-appropriated, to form rural housing and accommodate countryside activities.
This house – literally built into the calcarenite stone – is one such example, and physically brings together the original landscape, with its new residential purpose.
