This week is the last opportunity to see the AA Gallery’s latest exhibition, which offers a comparative reading of the design process within housing projects by James Gowan and Alvaro Siza.
Focusing on the decades after 1963, the exhibition specifically examines the architectural problems both architects faced when addressing the typologies of stacked maisonettes and terraced houses. Gowan’s work is represented by his designs for projects in Greenwich and East Hanningfield, whilst two of Siza’s Portuguese projects – in Bouça and Vila Viçosa – represent his residential work.
