Shirokane House by MDS Architecture, in Minato-Ku, Tokyo, was completed in 2013. The three-storey concrete and cedar house, angles outwards and upwards to create extra space and bring in light. A steel and timber staircase leads to the top floor, which is the main living space. Photography: Forward Stroke
