Another fantastic Richard Neutra house has come onto the market in Los Angeles. One of Neutra’s first houses in LA, this unusual triplex home (divided into three parts) on North Gower Street was originally commissioned by the Rajagopal family in 1934 as an expansion to their Spanish-style home to accommodate friends and family. Neutra’s addition was the upper one bedroom – one bathroom unit which showcases an early example of his distinct style. Later, Paul Hoag was commissioned to build an additional studio apartment on the property. Hidden and private in the heart of Beachwood Canyon, the house has a total of three bedrooms and three bathrooms and is on the market for the first time ever, with a guide-price of $1,200,000 (roughly £760,000).
