Built on the northwest edge of Phillip Island, Australia, in 2013 this couple’s residence was converted from a heritage-listed chicory kiln.
The design of the property was developed as part of an ongoing exploration by the client of what might constitute ‘home’ or ‘place’ in a world where the focus is on speed, change and dynamism. The interior landscape uses reconfigurable spaces, which celebrate transformation and offer new possibilities of inhabitation.
